Parent & Child
Biosculpture, Building System, & Projection Piece
Overview
Parent & Child is a mycelium sculpture and projection installation built from a modular system of recombinable panels. As identical forms scale and repeat, the work draws parallels between biological growth and human relationships.
Using mycelium as both material and metaphor, the piece examines interdependence, inheritance, and gradual transformation. A projection element places organic material and digital media into conversation and reinforces the idea of growth as both a physical and constructed process.
